Frequently Asked Questions
What is 3D product rendering?
3D product rendering is the process of creating a digital representation of a product using computer software. This technique allows for the creation of realistic and detailed images that showcase the design, features, and materials of the product from different angles. By utilizing lighting, textures, and shadows, 3D product rendering can provide a lifelike visualization that aids in marketing, prototyping, and design evaluation.
How can 3D product rendering benefit my business?
3D product rendering brings substantial value to businesses by providing lifelike and detailed representations that enhance visual appeal and attract potential customers. It allows for flexibility in marketing strategies by creating a variety of visual assets for different platforms, catering to diverse audience preferences. Moreover, its cost-effectiveness by eliminating the requirement for physical prototypes and reshoots saves time and resources, contributing to long-term efficiency and profitability for the business.
What types of products can be rendered in 3D?
Anything! Although, not all products are created equal. Typically complex or ergonomic shapes (ex. computer mouse, vehicles, animals) can be harder to reproduce in 3D compared to simple shapes (ex. bottles, watches, phones). It can be done but will likely take longer to produce.
What information do you need from me to start a project?
Any product specifications such as size, shape, and materials. Additionally, reference images or drawings will be essential to understand the desired aesthetic. Finally, any branding materials such as logos, color palettes, and labels will ensure seamless integration of the products identity into the final image.
How long does a typical 3D product rendering project take?
The duration of a project varies based on its complexity. Simple projects can be completed within a few days, while more intricate models or animations may take a 1-2 weeks or longer. For projects with time constraints, we are open to discussing timelines in advance to ensure timely delivery.
What software do you use for 3D rendering?
We use Blender for model/scene creation and rendering, then use Adobe Creative Cloud for some post-processing depending the project needs.
Can you work with existing 2D product images?
Yes! These are even encouraged, we will take any and all reference images you can provide. The more information and visual guides the easier it will be to recreate your product.
Do you provide revisions?
Yes! We provide a revision service as part of each project, allowing for up to two complimentary revisions. A revision can consist of multiple adjustments. Any additional revisions beyond the initial two may be subject to an extra fee.
How do you handle feedback during the project?
We encourage open communication and value constructive feedback as an essential aspect of refining our services. If you need to get in touch with us during a project email is best, we will typically respond within 48 hours.
What file formats will I receive upon project completion?
For still images we provide .PNG files and animations are typically .MP4. These are not set in stone so if you have specific file requirements we can certainly adjust as needed. Please note: We do not provide the 3D models (.FBX, .OBJ etc.) or full project files (.blend, .PSD etc.) for any project.
What is the pricing structure for your 3D rendering services?
We charge on a per project basis with 2 revisions included. Any requested revisions outside of the included 2 are charged by the current hourly rate. The price services will be determined after discussing the scope of the project in detail.
Can you sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)?
If required, we are open to signing after reviewing the terms.
How do you handle intellectual property rights for the rendered images?
The final design is owned by you, however, we do withhold the right to share the design on our social media and/or portfolio to showcase past projects. If needed we can wait a specified amount of time before posting the work but we do require this as it is important as an artist to show previous work.
Do you offer animation services for product presentations?
Yes! We can do product animations if requested during the project planning phase. If this is not included in the original scope of the project, it cannot be added as a revision. There will be a separate charge for anything added in after the original project is defined.
What is your payment process?
We charge 50% upfront as a deposit and the remaining 50% upon project completion. We send out invoices via Stripe to your email.
Can you work within a specific budget?
Yes, We are open to working within a specified budget and can tailor our services accordingly.
